The following conditions establish the grounds by which any OWL RADIO volunteer or employee may be asked to relinquish their position at the station. Signing this agreement indicates that the signer understands the terms described and agrees to end all volunteering or employment activities and connections with the station upon the request of OWL RADIO management. The management request must be documented and must contain at least one of the following items. All programming is at the complete discression of management, regardless of written, contractual agreement.

Any OWL RADIO Volunteer may be asked to relinquish their employment or volunteering privileges due to one or more of the following conditions:

This includes negative comments about campus police, faculty, staff, students including members of Student Government. • 4. Condoning the use of profane language by guests during the on-the-air broadcast. If a guest steals, swears, breaks equipment, etc…the DJ will be held responsible for their guest actions.
  • 5. If a DJ accidentally plays a song with swear words and is unable to block or remove the profanity before it reaches the campus speakers, they must stop the song at once. If profanity was aired, the DJ must notify the Program Director. If a DJ fails to notify the Program Director, he/she may be at risk of losing their show. Also, if a DJ continues to have problems with allowing swear words out on the air after three (3) citations, they will lose their show.

  • 7. On-Air degradation of active OWL RADIO volunteers, employees, or programs.
  • 8. Placing On-Air complaints concerning equipment failures or unauthorized criticisms. This includes saying phrases like, "I don't care because no one is listening anyway." Etc…
  • 9. Under no circumstances is campaigning on the air permitted unless it has the written approval of both the Elections Commission of the Florida Atlantic University Student Government Association and Station Management.
  • 10. Accepting any conditions or materials from outside interests in exchange for on-the-air promotions or endorsements without written consent from the Program Director or Station Manager.
  • 11. Conducting contests or giveaways without the consent of a station executive.
  • 12. Negligent use or abuse of station property. No DJs are to erase shows from the IR. If a DJ is unable to record their show because there is no time left on the IR, notify the Program Director or Station Manager. Do not put your show on the IR play list. All play list shows must be okayed by the Program Director or Station Manager. All DJs who do not follow the IR rules will receive a citation per violation.
